Hennie Kuiper we think

This guy rides past and calls out "1972 Olympic champion". Seemed quite pleased about that. That's all he said.

So took down the photo number, and looked it up when I got back. Assuming he was a cycling champion and not swimming or some other sport, we think that this chap is Hennie Kuiper, a famous Dutch pro cyclist.

Which is nice.

Good day overall, lots of cyclists, mainly Egyptians.....how weird was that?

However, because they hadn't been exposed to too many western cyclists, they were actually quite nice people. I heard the comment "we don't have anything like this in Egypt".

One guy did say "right, that's the easy bit done" and smirked at me. I confirmed that yes, that was the easy bit and now it got really hard and that it would be harder to breathe, and the pain in his chest would get much worse. He seemed pleased even if there was a small tear in his eye having had his comment confirmed.
