View from The Top

Another sweltering day in NYC, actually the hottest this week despite it being quite overcast. There was a threat of thunderstorms but none came thankfully.

To get away from the intense heat, we headed to Central Park and had a really lovely walk around the main lake and then on up to the Boathouse and across to Strawberry Fields. We were very warm by this stage so picked up the subway stopping at Grand Central station where we grabbed a late lunch in the food hall. I took some more photos before we nipped into a couple of shops to get a gift or two to take home.

A brief rest in the hotel and then we headed for the Rockefeller buildings to visit The Top of the Rock for some spectacular twilight views. No sunset tonight but what a great way to see the city light up, the blip had to be the view, The Empire State Building standing close by.

A few more photos (Radio City) then tired feet finally got a rest!
