Brooklyn Bridge

Final day for us in New York, what a great few days we've had. After a leisurely start to the day we rode the subway out to the other side of the Brooklyn Bridge and enjoyed great views back to Manhattan. We then walked across the bridge, it was super hot but really it just has to be done.

After some much needed refreshment (I, Chris was seriously flagging) we took the subway again up to 59th St then walked over to ride the tramway to Roosevelt Island and back again. For tramway read cable car.

Then it was time to head for JFK. Back to the hotel for bags we then took the subway one last time before picking up the Air Train, much easier (and quicker) than the minibus transfer on the way out. I'm posting this from the departure lounge, let's hope for a straightforward flight home.
