Today's the day ..................... for a garden tour

I've just been shown round the wonderful garden of my brother Ron and sister-in-law Margaret in Edinburgh.

It's just a shame that - because it's their garden - they have trouble seeing past all the bits that need weeding, or thining out, or dead-heading - or any of the multitude of things that always need doing in a garden.

I just saw the glorious combinations of colours and the variety of plants that they have managed to grow - including this Meconopsis from seed.  And how lovely it was to be strolling through it on this warm sunny day full of birdsong and the hum of insects on the wing .....................
