Cygnets at Blackford Pond

Today's adventure was a walk to Blackford Pond and the Hermitage of Braid. I was hoping to get a better picture of these cygnets, but I got distracted by some ducks and looked away for a moment, and when I looked back, the swan family had disappeared! I've no idea where they went in such a short space of time, but anyway, I missed my chance!

After crossing Midmar meadow I had a wander through the wood and down to the visitor centre, and it was so lush and green that it felt like I'd stumbled into a Pre-Raphaelite painting. I've added a couple of photos, but they don't really capture exactly like it was!
