A Happy Shopper
Yesterday, drmackem (A) and wife L arrived at our home, following a grueling trip from the UK via Vancouver which was exacerbated by a lengthy delay at the BC border crossing. They were resilient enough to last through an early meal with lots of interesting conversation.
A and L were well refreshed this morning, and ready for a quick sampling of our favorite Bellingham places. After some sightseeing, we stopped at Elizabeth Station. (Cynthia's blip today is a great photo of A and me at the bar). As I expected, A was quite impressed by the beer variety and stocked up with a selection to see him through the next leg of the journey.
We enjoyed a fine lunch at the Copper Hog, sitting outside in the shade of an umbrella, and then it was time for them to leave -- much too soon! They left us with some generous gifts from Yorkshire -- mine will be featured in a future blip.
We hope our new friends will return for a longer stay.
