Poetry Ireland At The Unitarian

At another gig tonight, James Harpur and Mary O'Malley, who were reading at a Poetry Ireland book launch in the Unitarian Church on Stephen's Green. Wet and windy weather, so it was good that a reasonable crowd managed to make it, including Enda, Peter and Denis O'Driscoll. It's a lovely little church with richly-coloured stained glass windows. Joe Woods mentioned them in his closing speech, remarking that this was a good time of the year to hold readings at that venue as the evening light brought them to life (not this evening though). James and Mary both read excellently. I wasn't going to head into town again after last night's drinking, but I'm glad I did.
