Scar House Reservoir

Did my own ‘Tour de Yorkshire’ today, but by car and foot rather than bike. There were three areas I wanted to visit but obviously could only manage one or I would have spent all day driving.  Nidderdale got the vote as the route had fewer roundabouts.

65 miles by car, 6 on foot, many photo stops and one pub rest. Only a glass of Coke today and at a bargain Yorkshire price.

Wish I’d taken the binoculars as there were lots of birds. I’m confident in saying that I saw Lapwing, Golden Plover and Curlew. Saw more birds than people which was a pleasant change from the past two days.

There's a photo taken on the dam in extras.
