It was going to be a wet morning so I decided on an exploration of Wetherby. Seemed appropriate :)  As it happened the forecast was wrong.

Approaching the river I was wondering which one it was when an large sign ahead said ‘River Wharfe’. Just a few minutes later, by the river, a lady asked if I knew what it was called …… was it the Ouse? No, said I with great certainty ….. it’s the Wharfe. Had to own up to not knowing myself when I arrived. 

Didn’t take the camera this morning because of the rain that was not supposed to stop until much later so had a blip wander down the lane later and found these oak leaves looking colourful in the afternoon sun.
