Guide dog in training

This is Freddie, the puppy, trainee guide dog that we have sponsored.
Freddie is currently with his "puppy walker" Jackie in Hertfordshire, accumulating a whole range of experiences to build his confidence and sociability. He is a regular visitor to cub groups in order to build experience with children, and to get used to busy environments and lots of attention.
Freddie loves adults and children, but when he is in his training jacket he ignores all other dogs and distractions.
Freddie is currently working on understanding hand signals, as opposed to verbal instructions, and is now very confident in crossing roads.
Recently he has visited some interesting places such as St Albans Cathedral and Abbey gardens. Freddie has also been on trains and buses. Jackie said he was originally fearful of the really fast trains that did not stop, but is now used to them and quite unconcerned.
Jackie says Freddie is "an outgoing pup who likes playing and has a great sense of humour".
We are proud to sponsor Freddie, and delighted at the progress he is making. I hope to post future reports on his progress.
