Still Learning

It isn't enough
to pause in the midst
of other occupations...
walk across the floor
and give token attention
to the gestural line.

This current hunger
demands of my psyche
wholehearted attention...
demands for my body
space to explore
and food for the soul.

It is time to breathe in
the emptiness
of hallowed becoming...
to let the new dance
glide freely onto
this page of my life.
