Arriving

Our first holiday since last September brings us to Germany.

Good flight from Manchester to Berlin. Train to the Haupt Bahnhoff, and then a 20 minute walk to find our hotel.

This is out third trip to this city. First time in 1995, when Airtours undertook ridiculously cheap day trips (£20 return) in the winter to keep the planes running. Second time in 2005, again in the winter (it snowed on our first night), and with loads changing. And now. It will be interesting to see what further change has happened.

Good meal this evening at a place called Das Local, to get things off to a good start.
