Irises

Back out in the garden today for a picture, these are stunning brown irises. A much richer brown than the picture shows. A friend gave me a couple of corms about 10 years ago and I put them down under the tree and didn't get round to thinking about planting them for ages. By the time I remembered, they had already rooted and so I left them alone.
They have increased every year and there is now a large clump of them to one side of the pear tree and a clump of more traditional deep violet ones to the other side. For a couple of months the colours are stunning.
