Longhorn moth
Just check out those antennae!! Apparently vital to attract a mate in this moth's case. The moth is only about 1cm long. They dance up and down in groups around this time of the year.
The swan with the 7 youngsters has now started to bring them out onto dry land. It all seemed too much for them this morning. They only managed a few steps before they kept sitting down. My extra shot shows their little huddle with mum looking on......a little impatiently!
I had chance to read the number on the ring on her leg and she's the swan I took a photo of on the Spring Equinox and solar eclipse earlier this year. The little wet patches on the path are from their bottom imprints as they'd just got out of the lake.
