Resplendent in red
One of those days where we try to fit far too much in to the time available!
Early lunch and then off to dance with Rag Bag Morris at Ford School's summer fair.
Coffee (and, in MrM's case, scones) before driving down to the garden open afternoon (in aid of the Red Cross) at Lilburn Tower. We hadn't expected to stay so long, but the gardens were fabulous and covered a huge area. Some formal planting, but acres of wild-flower meadows, woodland walks with every sort of tree imaginable, a lake, cultivated plants often alongside wild plants and several interesting ruins and pieces of sculpture. Absolutely wonderful, and we shall look out for the next open garden there.
Back to the flat for chicken and chick pea curry, then out for a late-evening walk to Hough Hill...
