Goods Train
Once a month the Steam Railway runs a Heritage Goods Train along with the passenger service which gives visitors an idea of how in the 1940's the railways distributed goods throughout the Island. There is also the added interest of shunting operations at the main station when the guards van is moved from one end of the train to the other. Dad's and Grandads enjoy explaining the movements of the engine and carriages to their children.
Today the train was pulled by one of the Terrier engines No. W11 named Newport which recently had a complete overhaul and new boiler.
