A Place to Sit in the Sun

Just what our new bench is for .... although as I type this the sun has moved round and dropped just below the top of our boundary wall.  It's still a nice place to sit and enjoy a view of the garden although Dianthus carthusianorum - this is the dwarf form from the Valais in Switzerland - grows in the wild garden round the front of the house.

Glad to know what the bug is if anyone can offer a name.
