Mellow yellow

Busy busy busy today...........a quick trot down into town for a couple of last minute things for our hols. Then a quick coffee in the garden, before a mega watering session, which required an outing for the hosepipe :-)

After lunch we tackled the massive pile of ironing, which also included 3 sets of bedding (!!) using our new steam iron, which true to its marketing blurb, really did halve the time it took!! We got through the whole lot,in roughly three hours, so not bad going at all. Well worth the money in my book :-) we have also got out all the clothes we plan to take on hols so upstairs resembles a dry cleaners at the moment!

After dinner, hub telephoned with an old school friend, who he hasn't seen for more than 40 years. They are going to meet up, which will be lovely for them and there is to be a school reunion later this year.

We then popped round to our daughters house to check on progress of their extension, whilst they are on hols. We are taking photos for them and posting them on Facebook so they can see how it is getting along!

On the way back we took a quick pit stop at the flash, as the sun was just going down, and it looked as though there would be some nice colours. This is the result.....hope you like it :-)
