A quieter day after yesterday's touring. A trip through countryside lanes to the nearby town of Vergt. The main square at 1pm was almost deserted. The covered market had a large sign proclaiming a festival of fat and truffles, leaving one in no doubt that we are in the Perigord.

In the beams were these artificial flowers and inflatable strawberries (highlighting another product of the region currently in season). They do not display the quality of the products but they were certainly colourful.

By the time we got back the sun was doing its best to break though the clouds allowing an afternoon by the (very cool but swimmable) pool.

Then a small market on site with local goodies to taste and buy.
