It's been one of those overload blip days. Magnificent sunny weather in the Dordogne, touring around some if the most spectacular sights and sites here.
Over 490 photos to chose from and while this is perhaps a traditional shot it sums up the day. Magnificent, almost pristine, buildings ( note the lack of satellite dishes); the gently flowing clear waters of the Dordogne river; and the clear skies.
We took a boat tour up the river to see some other chateaux and at one point came across some river weed in bloom: lovely white flowers with a yellow centre. Lucky tow see it as it flowers only for a fortnight each year.
Then on to la Roche Gageac; then the Cingle de Montfort ; then Sarlat with its warm almost yellow stone glowing in the evening light.
