Superabundance
I thought that after taking all these photos of flowers and shrubs in other places I should get one of my own largest azalea before it's over. The flowers are so large and so tender that in a strong wind or battering rain they crumple and fall, so that it's perfectly possible to go to bed one night knowing the bush looks like this, and get up in the morning to the ground littered with bruised blossom.
We've had this bush for about 20 years, having bought it with money my mother-in-law gave us to buy plants with, and I love it.
