Trondheim

A day in Trondheim … we visited the Nidaros Cathederal, founded in 1152, the Archbishop’s Palace, the Palace Museum and then a city drive through the town to the Kristiansted Fortress. 

The fortress was completed in 1684 and played a key role in repelling the Swedish invasion force in 1718. It offers views of Trondheim and the Nid Estuary – the blip was taken from here and shows the Nid Estuary and our ship.
