Today has been dreich.

Today has been dreicher than yesterday.

Today has been the dreichest day this week... so far.

The only bright spot was meeting friend Tom for lunch in Wee Lochan. As always, the food was excellent. We both opted for fishy dishes.

On the way home I popped into Lidl for a few essentials. They seemed to be having some kind of power cut which didn't affect the tills or the refrigerated section, but the rest of the shop was in near darkness, so I couldn't see what was on the shelves. Somehow I managed to buy a vanilla custard Danish pastry along with the milk I needed. Goodness knows how that happened, what with it being so dark...
