Today's task

New oak dining table, chairs and bench.
Unpacking and assembling took quite some time today, with Fiona in the driving seat. I had spent the morning wirking at Nottinghamshire Healthwatch.
The stuff is very heavy indeed, because the wood is European Oak. This is sent to China - where they machine and cut it, the Chinese then manufacture furniture and return the finished products to Europe more cheaply and better made than could be achieved here!
Can you credit that? What an indictment! Quite remarkable. Almost unbelievable.
Really solid, heavy and attractive.
