Olympic torch: just a memory

Who would have thought that crowd control barriers were required in Kilmacolm, but obviously the passage of the Olympic torch about 2.30pm today caused much excitement. But by 6.30pm everything was tidied into neat piles awaiting collection and by 7.30pm the square was empty and it was as if nothing had happened.

I was at work so didn't join in. And didn't walk the few hundred yards to see the torch pass near work about 4pm. Or go the couple of miles to Giffnock to see it at 5.30pm. I should have done though; I was sent a lovely photo of my six year old nephew holding an unlit torch with Rodrigo the torch bearer who was waiting for the flame to reach them.
