Roll Up!

The Netherlands State Circus is in town this weekend. I should have got tickets; maybe there is someone who could teach me to ride my unicycle.

I now can't get the Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan song "The circus is leaving town" out of my head. It is from their fabulous first album together, Ballad of the Broken Seas, which is one of my all time favourites. For someone who appears so twee, she writes some very dark lyrics. And she wielded a mean whip on stage at the O2 ABC a couple of years ago!
