Lamb Rigg Wind Farm
Another day down in Lancashire. As I left home it was drizzling and the further south I went the harder it rained. I was hoping it would have cleared up and I could visit the reserve before heading home.
As I came out of the meeting there was no change in the weather. So the reserve was out I don't like getting wet and wasn't equipped for outdoors. As I drove home I was wondering what I could take a blip of, I know I have blipped the top of one of these before, so I decided to go a little further up the road and get a full length shot.
It may be an apocryphal story but I was once given to understand that each of these towers was named after a child in the local junior school. Whether the story is true or not I don't know but they certainly were among the earliest wind generators in the county.
