I'm as TALL as the lamp post!  Had to take a friend to the airport in Clearwater/St. Petersburg this afternoon so took the opportunity on the way home to stop at the fishing pier next to the Sunshine Skyway Bridge.  When the Skyway Bridge was built a few years ago, most of the old bridge on the north and south ends of the new bridge were left and turned into fishing piers.  Took several photos, and was hoping for some shots of storms brewing in the east but I was too close and only had my little camera.  So, I settled for the birds around the pier and a couple of the Skyway Bridge itself. The center of the bridge is tall enough for some of the shorter cruise ships to pass beneath that come from Tampa Bay.   Photo of the Skyway Bridge is the extra photo...

At about 9 p.m. I rearranged things, so the "I am as tall as the lamp post" is in the extra photos because the SKY WAS ON FIRE over the downtown Sarasota area and it was awesome.....so switched them around a bit....  :)
