Simmer Dim Rally

It's rained most of the morning and finally cleared in the afternoon, we even had a glimpse of sunshine after tea and a bit of blue skies.  There has been a few showers in the evening.  Will it ever dry up? We certainly need a dry spell, don't think we can hold any more water!

Working on the museum desk today and the morning started busy, visitors looking to get out of the rain!  I managed a walk around Lerwick at lunchtime but had to duck inside at times to avoid the showers.
A lazy evening planned but had to put my friend Julie up the bikers rally and help her setup the tent.  Three attempts later, we got the tent up :)

The Simmer Dim Rally starts today and plenty of visiting bikers arrived off the north boat this morning.  A weekend of drinking, partying and zooming around the island for them.  I'd need to get up for the whole weekend sometime but I'll be back for a visit over the weekend :)  Plenty of local bikers attend every year, here are Jamie McKay, Terry Irvine and Colin McKay (Jamie's dad).  Taken at Nesting hall.
