Findhorn Bay

Back over to Findhorn today to spend some hours on the beach this time. We parked at the far end of the village and carried our bags of beach toys, towels and packed lunch all the way along the edge of the bay, past the gorgeous houses, the jettys reaching out into the water, the boats sitting calmly on the sea, the small but bustling pubs (with a very English feel to them) and the village bunting strung up across the road.

We sat on the beach and chatted, the kids built sandcastles and wigwams out of sticks, we paddled and jumped in the calm sea and realised too late we had not put any suntan lotion on.

At first it felt hard to believe we were in Scotland. Then we remembered it was June and wearing short sleeves and sunhats surely shouldn't seem that strange.
