Bison

Besides the small Canadian bridge in Bruges are two  huge Bison's on a pedestal.
This is a memento of the liberation by Canadian soldiers in September 1944.
Funny is ,that this bridge popularly received the name of "Buffalo bridge" !?
Very probably because in that time people didn't know much about those animals .........And even up to day the bridge is still known as the Buffalo bridge ! ........
