The graduate

It's been a long, rough road, but today we celebrated a couple significant milestones.

I actually had TWO graduates tonight. My 16-yo son graduated from the German "Realschule" - amongst the top of his class.

At the same time, my 18-yo daughter earned her high school diploma from the International School of Düsseldorf.

I was sad we had to split up, with my husband attending one ceremony while I attended the other - but tomorrow we'll all celebrate together.
