Double delight

Today we celebrated the graduations of my two middle children - super proud of all they've accomplished. It's been a rough road - uprooting them from the U.S. as teenagers and dumping them into German schools.

My daughter spent two years at a Gymnasium before transferring to an International school. My son completed four years in a Realschule. Each received diplomas this week and will now strike out on new paths.

The girl is hunting for work so she can save enough pennies to embark on an eight or nine month Australian work-travel program before university. The boy will enter a German Gymnasium in August, to earn his university entrance qualification in the next three years.

Exciting times for both of them - calls for a bit of bubbly :)
