John Allen- mountaineer and photographer

Just back from Jeremy Wyatt's private viewing in Dunblane where I met another of our artists taking part in Forth Valley Open Studios.

This Stirling based photographer John Allen has had a lifetime's experience as both a photographer and mountaineer climbing in the Alps and the Himalayas.

Would he mind if I took a photo of him on my iPhone? This seemed almost insulting but it so happened this was the only camera I had with me and I am always a bit nervous about photographing other photographers.

Still John was very patient and co-operative though he did object to one photos of him with a television screen behind.
