Yellow Rose @ Monttisfont

Monttisfont Abbey near Romsey in Hampshire holds the National Rose Collection, and every June the Walled Garden is awash with them.  The National Trust keep the gardens open until 8pm on a number of evenings throughout June, so after work this afternoon I bombed down the M3 /A30 for a few hours with myself and camera (and quite a few other visitors!)

The scent in the warm evening sun was almost an assault on the senses, and the whole garden was glowing with colours.  This was one of my first shots and is almost straight out of the camera.  The other 200 odd shots still need sorting!
