A day at the coast

The weather forecast was favourable, so Mum and I grabbed a picnic lunch and headed to the coast.

This is St Margaret's Bay near Dover - a family favourite from my childhood.   This sheltered bay is reached via a steep, single track road leading down to a promenaded beach, which today seemed to be mainly be used by dog walkers and "serious" swimmers. Channel swimmers usually start from this beach
