Boxing: clever
Another overflowing blip day. Over 500 photos taken, many of them potential for blipping.
But as something typical of the day this has to be it. We visited the hanging gardens of Marqueyssac which were started in the 1600s but 2 centuries later were really developed. The then owner brought in tens of thousands of boxwoods and began to trim then into some amazing geometric shapes up on top of a cliff formation. And all in a magnificent setting overlooking a number of chateaux, the Dordogne river and the surrounding countryside. The view for lunch is one of the best.
To add to that we had a visit to Domme, a 13th century Bastide and then on past Josephine Baker's home at Les Milandes to the ancient abbey at Cadouin. Quite a day and in sunshine and mid-20s warmth.
