Rotting weather

After the lovely day yesterday it was a back to the familiar routine. Even though it was Father's Day our return from the wedding involved me in the usual weekend of visits and shopping - just this time on a Sunday. Still, I managed an hour in the garden weeding in the rain. And I did get some lovely messages from the "children", some presents and a very tasty dinner.

The wedding party was heading up Tinto Hill this morning to be followed by a BBQ. We had to miss that but hope that the rain held off.

The rain has fairly devastated the roses this year with the blooms rotting before opening. We can only hope for better weather soon.
