Seaside!
On the last day of our workshop we headed to the North Cumbrian coast - near to Allonby, north of Maryport.
The tide was halfway in - so we only had a couple of hours before beach was covered.
This show is looking across the Solway Firth towards Scotland.
Although the exif shows f22 for 1/10th second, it is actually a multi exposure. I used the in built multi exposure mode on my camera - it takes 9 separate shots and averages them out to create a single normally exposed image. This creates the 'blurry' effect on the water and enhances the cloud movement,
For most of us this was a new technique we learned this week and there have been some fantastic images of smooth lakes, wavy trees and grass.
