Rydal Hall

Today we went to Grasmere and Rydal Hall.

It was mostly cloudy - with occasional sun patches breaking through on to the fells. Sadly I didn't really like my shots over the water.

At Rydal Hall I went down to the 'Grot' - a little hut which has a viewing window to see the falls. I managed to get my camera pretty close to the glass to cut out reflections from behind.

A slow shutter speed has smoothed out the water a bit, and the burst of sunlight has lifted the detail in the sides of the gorge.

I have really got behind with comments etc. as there is so little time to sit down and do anything whilst on these workshop/holidays.
