Friday: Šibenik

K's brother, J., has arrived for a visit.  His luggage, less so.  That appears to be somewhere between Frankfurt and Zagreb.

We have driven straight from Zagreb to Šibenik, on the coast.  The journey took much longer than usual, due to whole sections of the motorway being closed.  The alternative route, through the Velebit mountains, was stunning so we didn't feel particularly hard done by.  In the days of Yugoslavia a lot of westerns were filmed in the Velebit mountains and it is easy to see why.  I have expected to see the cavalry appear on a ridge.

Anyway, baggage dumped and straight down to the waterfront for a drink.
