Young Visitors to our Garden
This juvenile Great Spotted Woodpecker has enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner at our feeders today. We do like the very neatly cut fringe!! A male and a female visit occasionally too, but they never come as a family.
And perhaps more exciting, we had a young deer in our garden late last night. A first. We have walls all round, so it must have jumped very high to get in. Last week, we had to stop suddenly on the busy road around Pollok Park, when two young deer decided they wanted to cross without waiting for the Green Man! Southsiders, keep a look out!
