Hampden - Before The Games

A chance for a peek inside Hampden Park. I've actually never been here before, even though I live just a few miles away. I often hear the Hampden Roar from my home when the big matches take place. Built in 1903, with major reconstruction in the 1990s, it has been transformed over the last year.

This is the venue for Glasgow 2014 XX Commonwealth Games Track and Field events. As you can see, just 33 days to go until The Games begin.

This entire area of play has been created on a raised platform, 1.9 metres above the football pitch. Great views from the seats right beside the track.
