Maruia Falls

Today started out another wet day, although the sun made an appearance at times in the afternoon.

We headed out to Maruia Falls during a break in the weather, to see what the falls look like since all the rain fell during the week. The falls are located about 30 minutes from where I live.

TeeJay took the same picture in April, when we hadn't had a lot of rain. Today's picture shows the falls at their angriest - the river is very dirty, and the force is incredible, as you can see from the spray that is drifting across the water.
