Smiley Face

I never realized just how big beavers could get.  This guy at Nisqually was about 4' long and huge.  He was stuffing the lilies in like crazy.  His nails are very impressive.  The second shot you can see his rather large teeth.

I remember a story in Maryland of a woman taking her two Newfoundlands for a walk, (off leash), they went into the water only to encounter a pair of beavers.   One dog drowned while been held under by the beavers, the second managed to barely escape.   They are incredibly strong critters.
