Byblos

An afternoon off (yippee!) and a trip up the coast to Byblos. A coastal town 35km from Beirut with LOTS of history, including Phoenicians, Egyptians, Romans and Crusaders. The Crusader castle rises above the harbour to the left of the shot. Look large for some Roman columns near the middle and other archaeological remains to the right. It looks cloudy but where I was it was sunny and very hot.

If I had a decent screen and editing software on my work computer this would probably be a different shot. The screen is really dark and it's very difficult to tell whether the photos will look ok on Blip. But this shot from the harbour and the extra photo are the ones I think that will look best.
