Ermine Moth

The Ermine Moth is very beautiful.  This one decided to come into the house and rested on the table under a lamp.  A good place for a shot.  

Unfortunately their caterpillars have a bad reputation.  Last year they stripped a large part of a nearby hedge.Collectively, they spin gigantic webs and can, in extreme cases, strip entire rows of trees of their leaves.
