Cyprus Day 10

Up early and drove up to Aiya Napa to get a boat trip along the coast. Very beautiful and we had a lovely day despite an awful English family at the front of the boat attempting to pick a fight with everyone. They should have been thrown overboard!

The boat stopped on a couple of occasions for people to swim. Toby and Eva enjoyed pushing Mummy and Daddy off the boat. Toby didn't want to go in but Eva said she did so we borrowed a life jacket. As soon as she touched the water she started screaming - it was a bit cold - so got straight back on the boat. At that point Tobes decided he wanted to have a go too. So we got him kitted out. He was really nervous at first as he has never been out of his depth before but once he realised the life jacket would let him float he calmed down - still wouldn't let go of me or the life ring (see extra pic) but I was proud of him for giving it a go.

We got back to dry land mid afternoon so drove up to the turkish border to look at Famagusta through the binoculars. Then to another beach to play. It was fantastic as there was a line of rocks close to the shore creating a small pool for the kids to play in. Meant we could relax a bit without worrying about them going out of their depth. They love being at the beach so much.

Found a lovely restaurant for some dinner afterwards, still salty and sandy from our day out but who cares. There was a big play area next to the outdoor dining area so Toby and Eva could play whilst we enjoyed a few glasses of wine. Perfect last night.
