We are the Campions... of the World...

This little flower has blossomed and bloomed in a pot on our patio for the last month or so.  

We have examined the pot for weeks, trying to decide if they are weeds or flowers. Last year I went a bit overboard with the planting of "seeds, here, there, everywhere.   The result of the success of this "wild" planting... I am now seeing wild flowers popping up all over.... Poppies in the hanging baskets....cornflowers in the herb box. 

I sat and examined it in detail. I knew I could post something somewhere "what is this", and someone would have told me from one end of the universe or other... But why not use what I have .... I described them into Google. LOL

I found a picture on a website, and they gave me a name,  with the name I was able to look all over the place and read about them. 

Red Campion; 

Found growing in the wild, or growing in rockeries, or shady parts in need of colour. 

I'm so glad it is a flower.  

I would have felt awful pulling it up and telling myself it was a weed.
