GOLF BACKWARDS

The word Golf said backwards is FLOG ! The word flog brings to my mind  " flogging a dead Horse " which is something like this golfer playing on his own in sub-zero conditions.  Below Par ?? Bogey ? One over ?  all  things that also come to mind to make golf (for me,at least) one of the strangest games in mans short history on this globe ! To think  I was a single figure handicaped golfer myself !! Sorry chaps - I saw the light and consigned it to the next most difficult thing - Blipping!!
Each to their own ?? I was out looking for birdies whilst this bloke was trying for them on the Ferrymead Golf course too !! - funny old life ??
